About Home on the Range Beef

All Natural Grassfed Range Raised Beef

The High Desert rangeland of Eastern Oregon is home to the McNab ranching family and their herd of Longhorn Cattle. Please take a moment to learn more about us. TheThe McNab Family information included here will help introduce our family and what we do as beef producers.

We look forward to providing you with a source of clean, high quality healthy beef. As a consumer, you should know where your food source comes from, who grows it, and how they grow it for you.

Home on the Range Beef is a local family owned and operated small business. We raise lean, clean, tender and tasty beef. We are Stewards of the land, leaving the land we borrow in better condition than we found it. We believe an old fashion, tried and true cattle raising practices and do not believe new and improved is always the best. We allow for time and nature to work its magic, not a clock and a graph.

We practice humane treatment of our animals, and approach ranching practices in a sustainable fashion. We are not certified organic, but use organic growing practices when and where ever possible.

To finish, our cattle are grass fed and finished in open pastures. This allows for a consistent year round mellow flavor to our beef, and our cattle are never force fed. We believe we are what we eat and what they eat! Our beef are Pasture raised, not feedlot fed. Our beef is dry aged 14/21 days and is USDA inspected.
